To make fishing accessible to all women so they have the opportunity to enjoy the sport with family and friends.

FISHHER was created because something, somehow had slipped through the cracks. Fishing gear was available for kids, fishing gear was available for men, but what about fishing gear for women? What about us?!?!

Fishing since the age of three, I got really serious about the sport 10 years ago when my in-laws retired and moved to their home on Table Rock Lake! As you may know, Southern Missouri lakes hold a lot of fish and a lot of excitment! My husband, two little ones, and I were immediately HOOKED on fishing and the fun and quality family time it provided!

The more passionate about fishing I became, the more gear I collected! At first I was delighted with hand-me-down tackle boxes and gear... but then I wanted gear just for ME! Along with my wanting my own gear came my desire to learn as much about fishing as possible! After some intimidating encounters with salesmen in the local tackle shops, I decided to create a "comfortable" place where women could learn about fishing on any level!

After modifying my non-fishing-related-gear (like a wheeled scrapbook tote) into a tackle box, I wondered why am I doing this? There needed to be a place to learn about fishing and gear that was made for women! That is when the concept of FISHHER was born!

Now women, at every level in the sport, will have an educational, interactive, non-intimidating place to go for their fishing  needs! We will proudly provide education and gear for women of all ages who love to fish, a place "just for us!"
